ISMS-P and ISMS are certification systems with the highest level of national authority declared by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Personal Information Protection Commission. In accordance with the Act On Information And Communications Network and Personal Information Protection Act, companies should be _uated by the national certification agency (KISA) and guarantee that key information assets are managed under reliable protection. Companies should also comply with some one hundred certification guidelines in relation to information protection management and measures. In case of ISMS-P, in particular, a broader personal information protection scope is applied and the certification is issued only after passing 102 control standards and 325 inspection items.
SK networks has obtained two information security management system certifications. One is ISMS-P for Speedmate stores focused on B2C customers and Walkerhill hotel service operation and the other is ISMS for import car parts distribution and ICT field based on B2B business. These certifications can be viewed as the company’s commitment to business safety through information protection risk management and reinforced ethical and transparent business management. According to corporate ESG _uation index announced by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), information protection is defined as a critical activity of the privacy and data security field, which is also used as a criterion for ESG management practice.
SK networks further plans to maintain the highest level of management system for information security and continue to raise customer trust.
Jae-geuk Choi, the head of SK networks Information Protection Center said, “While we will continue to reinforce our systems regarding personal information and information protection to raise customer trust, our efforts in a broader sense will also be aimed at ensuring a high level of information security on the whole for headquarters and subsidiaries alike.”
