SK rent-a-car ranked 1st in the 2022 KS-QEI in the car rental sector

SK rent-a-car (CEO: Hwang Il-moon) announced on the 21st that it ranked first in the car rental sector in the Korean Standard-Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI) devised by the Korean Standards Association (KSA).


The KS-QEI is designed by the KSA and the Korean Society for Quality Management (KSQM) to measure the quality of products and services, taking into the account the characteristics of products and services and customer satisfaction. To measure the quality and satisfaction level, it surveys consumers and experts who used the products or services.


In this assessment, SK rent-a-car scored the highest points in the car rental sector, which led the company to seize the top spot for seven consecutive years since 2011. In detail, the company scored high in the ‘quality index for usability’ which is to _uate the functionality, reliability, and usability, and also got a high point in the ‘quality index for sensitivity’ which is to assess product image, the level of awareness, and novelty, which is a clear demonstration of SK-rent-a-car’s outstanding quality of services.


Especially, the launch of high quality, new and innovative rental services was one of the core drivers for this achievement. Those services brought novelty and convenience to customers’ mobility life.


In particular, ‘SK rent-a-car’s TAGO PAY,’ a new concept of rental service that charges only for the miles traveled, has been well received in the market for its rational payment. It is marked by an innovative way of charging fees; basic fees by type of car plus the miles traveled per month. ‘SK rent-a-car Direct,’ an online direct service, enables the users to sign a contract online. In addition, 24-month contract period without collateral requirements, such as deposits, prepayments or surety insurance, distinguishes itself from other rental products. Among customers who need ‘second car’ or ‘third car,’ this rental service is gaining popularity for the purpose of driving their kids to school, getting to work, or for leisure activities on weekends.


In addition, SK rent-a-car has elevated customer value to keep pace with the fast evolving life_s and mobility trends with the launch of services, including ‘long-term used car rental,’ a service that allows customers to use secondhand cars that are managed in a safe and systematic manner, ‘Smart Home Maintenance Service,’ a service enabling customers to get maintenance service anytime anywhere, and ‘EV Link,’ a platform that provides a full suite of services required for EV operation, such as charging, parking, car wash, and car repair & maintenance.


An SK rent-a-car official said, “this outcome is so meaningful since this is attributed to our constant innovation and transformation to provide high quality services, which has drawn positive responses from our customers. Going forward, we plan to unveil a variety of mobility service to deliver more improved customer value.”
