The Dongguan Coil Center established in 2005 laid the groundwork for the effective execution of the China-Insider strategy and represented the construction of a new growth engine by operating as a local joint venture. The coil center is a specific outcome of the strategy of advancement into the domestic distribution market for iron and steel in eastern China which is the largest iron & steel market in China. 'SK-POSCO Pinghu Iron & Steel Co., Ltd.(POSK-PPC)', an iron & steel processing center constructed in cooperation with POSCO and located in Pinghu city, ZheJiang Province, China, had a completion ceremony and began regular operation in Feb., 2007. POSK-PPC can annually process and produce 140,000 tons of iron & steel products to be used for LCD, DVD, PC, etc. and the company plans to supply large quantity high-quality processed iron & steel products to the IT and home appliances companies located in eastern China.
